From cities to systems: Bauhaus Bites at the FOOD 2030 Connected Labs Network meeting
17 December 2025
This month Bauhaus Bites took part in the meeting of the FOOD 2030 Connected Labs Network. We had the chance to present our work on creating climate-positive, co-creative food environments that support health and sustainability. The meeting brought together more than 40 projects and living labs working across Europe to advance food systems transformation through innovation, policy and practice.

During the session, Kathy Belpaeme and Dominic Pender shared experiences from the project’s pilot cities in Oostende and Birmingham. They reflected on both the opportunities and challenges cities are facing as they develop and test new approaches to more sustainable and inclusive food environments in cities.
The exchange with other living labs and co-creation initiatives offered valuable inspiration and reinforced the importance of collaboration across sectors and regions. We look forward to building new synergies with like-minded networks as we continue working towards solutions that drive meaningful change in urban food systems.
